Washington Square Bar & Grill’s cucumber lemonade is a refreshing adult take on a classic drink.
The weather is warm—and we’ve been inside for a good, long while—so a perfect summer cocktail may be in order. Travis VanDell, general manager of Washington Square Bar & Grill, offers up the ‘Square’s recipe for a refreshing (and oh-so-delicious) adult take on a classic drink.
‘Square Cucumber Lemonade
- 2 slices of fresh cucumber
- 1 lemon wedge
- 1 oz. house-infused cucumber gin
- Splash of house-made sour mix
- Splash of soda water
In a metal shaker, combine cucumber, lemon wedge, gin and splash of sour mix. Add ice and shake vigorously. Pour into glass and top with splash of soda water and lemonade.
And if you want to skip the recipe and head right for the drink, yep, Washington Square Bar & Grill will be happy to oblige.
“All the ingredients in this cocktail are house-made from scratch,” says VanDell. “Our bartenders infuse the gin with fresh cucumbers and make the sour mix from scratch. This is a very refreshing cocktail to enjoy on our patio during the summer!”
