Just because it’s art doesn’t mean it has to be intimidating. Start by considering the host’s personality. One of the most memorable gifts I have received is a tea set, consisting of an artist-made mug, a tea strainer, three locally harvested and hand-crafted tea blends complete with a hand-stamped card. Not only does it fit perfectly in my routine—I love my morning tea—but it adds a bit of artistry, and I appreciate enjoying tea in my metallic-glazed mug even more. And I think of the person who gave it to me with every sip.
