Health Care for Seniors: What You Need to Know

Adult Floor Hockey

Take your hockey habit inside and avoid the wind chill with nighttime adult floor hockey games at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church. Bring your A-game and join fellow competitive types for fun and exercise. 651.426.3261.

Open Skating

If you have a hankering to ice skate but want to escape the chill that comes with outdoor rinks in February, head to the Hippodrome Ice Arena for weekend open skate. Whether you’re just gliding around or channeling Olympic skaters, it’s great exercise and fun time. Group Ski for Adults

Get in a great workout and try a new sport at the Tamarack Nature Center with a cross-country skiing session. This introductory class requires little to no experience and is an opportunity to try something new or brush up on rusty skills. It will cover all the basics, from clothing and equipment to technique. 651.407.5350.

Open Skating

Looking for a way to spend the afternoon with the kids on Martin Luther King Jr. Day? The White Bear Lake Sports Center is offering special open-skate sessions, for a little winter fun without the threat of frostbite. Bring or rent a pair of skates and head to the rink for double axels and a cup of hot cocoa. 651.429.8571.

Tamarack Nature Photography Club

Learn how to snapping the perfect shot in a low-pressure environment with the Tamarack Nature Photography Club. Get the lowdown on equipment and special techniques, and participate in photo projects at this session, led by experienced members of the 3M Camera Club. Resolution Solution 5K Run/Walk

Get a jump-start on your New Years’ resolution with this 5K run and walk. Slip into your warmest running clothes and join fellow exercisers to start the year off right, no matter what your skill level. 651.653.7401.

Zumba

Keep your New Year’s resolution afloat by trying out a new kind of exercise. Zumba combines Latin dance with pop elements to create a fun aerobic workout that will make you feel the burn and is a great way to get in a little cardio.
