Join Frassati Catholic Academy for the inaugural Frassati 5K, to be held on Friday night, September 22, 2017 at 6:30pm. Registration opens at 5:30pm and post race party/dinner/social event to follow. There will be a youth obstacle course by BearPower onsite for children who are not able to run in the 5K. This event raises crucial funds to support scholarships and operating costs for Frassati Catholic Academy while promoting health and community in White Bear Lake. All are welcome! The course is fast and flat, perfect for personal times. Strollers and walkers welcome too.

This race starts at The Boatworks Commons, (4459 Lake Ave S) on beautiful White Bear Lake. The course is flat and fast, 5K runs north along the lake to West Park and then back. The 10K goes south to Cottage Park then North along the lake to Ramsey County Park into the White Bear Lake neighborhood before returning back to Lake Ave, and the Finish at The Boatworks Commons. The registration includes an event T-Shirt.
For the past five years, St. Paul has hosted the Red Bull Crashed Ice event right outside the beautiful Cathedral of St. Paul. As the third event in the tour, Crashed Ice comes back to Minnesota, and is projected to draw crowds of up to 100,000. Minnesota native Cameron Naasz will be back to defend his title in this fierce competition.

The second annual Mayors' Challenge Golf Tournament at Keller Golf Course June 13 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Cost is $150 per golfer or $550 per foursome and includes lunch, dinner, greens fees, cart and golf balls. Silent auction will also be held. Proceeds benefit Northeast Youth & Family Services, a nonprofit mental health and social service agency serving over 4,000 youth, adults and families in the northeastern suburban community.

September 27 Celebrate sisterhood at Women Run the Cities, one of ESPN’s top five races for women in the nation. Organizers say that this popular event—featuring 10-mile and 10K runs, a 5K run/walk and a girls’ 1-mile run—is great for experienced runners and newbies alike. The courses start and finish at gorgeous Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, and track along the Mississippi River. Register online; spots fill up quickly. Girls’ run open to ages 4–12. Prices vary by registration date and distance; $15–$70 and up.
